This year, for Thanksgiving, my mother-in-law and I shared the dishes to prep, which was a relief for both of us! As much as I love cooking, pulling that entire meal off while trying to work and take care of Baby Knives is a daunting concept.
If you want to check out the stuffings I made, click here. The only change I made was to add two peeled and diced granny smith apples to the sage/sausage one. They both were delicious and we have plenty of leftovers, which was my plan all along. Stuffing, by far, is my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal!
I also made a new dessert this year, one that actually has quite a few holiday memories attached to it. My grandmother always made this cranberry pie at Christmastime and after she passed away none of us had the recipe for it. In my online searching and recipe perusing I finally found a similar recipe. Not only is it simple to make, but it turned out to be delicious!
