"Not" A Burger

Share it Please
I love burgers. Beef, turkey, even chicken are some of my favorites. I'm always on the lookout for new ways to spice up the run-of-the-mill burgers.  Some of the one's I've tried have been really delicious:

Asian Chicken Burger

Stuffed Turkey Burger

Ginger Teriyaki Sliders

21 Burger (AKA The Only Sandra Lee Recipe I've Ever Tried and LOVED)

I can now add another burger to the success roster and it's a veggie burger.  I know, I was skeptical that it would be a win, since I've had some truly gross veggie burgers over the years.  This one is a little different and relies on black beans for most of the burger.  Also, I think this is the key to enjoying any veggie "burger", don't think of it as a burger and compare it to meat!  It will never be meat and that's ok.  Just enjoy your sandwich!

I served up these Black Bean Pepper Jack Burgers with one of my favorite sides: Tangy Tater Salad, a recipe I found due to my love of potato salad and my husband's hatred for anything mayo-based.  Winner!
