TBT: Organization = Chocolatey Goodness

Share it Please
This week I've been in the middle of a huge organizational project: my recipe binders.  A few years ago my sister gave me the best idea for keeping recipes I print out or clip from magazines and I've kept up with it ever since.  I keep them in 3-ring binders, with each page encased in a plastic sheet protector so I can remove them easily, cook the recipe and then wipe off the inevitable food splatters before returning each recipe to the binder.

Anyway, my dessert binder was in ridiculous condition.  I had no organization for types of desserts inside the (rapidly growing) binder, so I had to sift through countless pages to find any recipe I wanted.  I finally gave in and started re-organizing it into categories (pies, cakes, cookies, etc.).  It's a bit of a huge project and I'm almost halfway through, so whew!

Thankfully, this project made me unearth one of my favorite cookie recipes that I had completely forgotten about: Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies with Sea Salt.  I love chocolate, especially dark chocolate, and the tiny sprinkle of salt on top of these cookies just sends the flavor right over the top.

I didn't change a thing from the original recipe and they turn out perfectly every time, so just click the link below to check out the recipe!  If you don't have sea salt on hand, coarse kosher salt works really well too.
